Our Mission
At Doodles and Schnoodles N.H., our mission is to connect families with the ideal puppy companion to enhance their lives. We prioritize the health and happiness of our dogs while helping families find their perfect available puppies.
Our Program
Our breeding program begins with our parent dogs. First, we love on our dogs as they grow, teaching them manners as they learn their place amongst the pack. We always evaluate our breeding dogs with an inclusive system, taking the whole dog into consideration. To do this, we consider the dog's health, genetic testing, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of Animals) results, and temperament. This comprehensive approach is most successful when whelping puppies and helps ensure that we have happy, healthy available puppies. By considering the whole dog while making purposeful breeding decisions, we are dedicated to producing Doodles and Schnoodles that will be the perfect puppy companion for you.
Raising Puppies
We cherish the opportunity to set our available puppies up for success by helping to lay the foundation of their development. Our Doodles and Schnoodles are raised in home and are part of the family. To achieve our rearing goals, we begin with Early Neurological Stimulation on days 3 through 16. Next, we start daily handling exercises, a series of repetitive motions that establish the foundation of human touch, helping them to learn that people are safe. We also believe in sensory and tactile stimulation. Letting the puppies hear a variety of sounds and experience different textures helps to grow a more confident puppy companion. After all, there's a whole world out there. Our program focuses on various exercises, protocols, and rearing lessons that we follow. The first 8 weeks of life are a journey, and we hope to always make a positive impact. It is important that we go at a pace that the litter is ready for. Perhaps most importantly, we show them love every day.
Puppy Health
Health, safety, and well-being are our primary concerns when preparing available puppies, including Doodles and Schnoodles, for their new homes. Some of the protocols we practice include: - weighing puppies twice a day for the first 3 weeks - a heat-controlled whelping box and room - umbilical cord care - supplemental feedings if needed - a strict deworming schedule - introduction to wet and dry food - a health check and health certificate - first vaccination. Our goal is to ensure that each puppy companion is healthy and ready for their new family.
